A Christian can say “Yes” to the will of God to which Jesus says “Yes” and “No” to any presentation of the will of God to which Jesus says “No,” even though it means giving up the protection of violence in the face of possible suffering, evil and death, because of Jesus’ Resurrection. Nonviolent Love of all under all circumstances in the model of Jesus is centered and totally dependent on the empty tomb. The empty tomb of Jesus verifies the power and wisdom, truth and effectiveness of Jesus’ Nonviolent Love of all always. If Christ has not risen Jesus’ Way of Nonviolent Love for friends and enemies is in vain and those who choose it are the most pitiful of all people. Jesus’ Nonviolent Love of friends and enemies is the power to empty tombs or it is nothing. The Christian is to put all his or her eggs in one Easter Basket. He or she chooses a life of Nonviolent Love of all under all circumstances as revealed by Jesus in the Gospels to be God’s will, because he or she believe Jesus is telling them God’s truth and He is risen from the dead!
