FORTY THIRD ANNUAL
FAST FOR THE TRUTH OF
GOSPEL NONVIOLENCE
(July1–August 9)

FAST FOOD AD2025: Tenth Helping
We Christians must be as serious about doing God’s Will as Jesus is. The agony of humanity cries out for Christians to become what they are by Baptism, namely, people who have put on Christ, who are Christ. The ceaseless misery of the world cries out for the Christistian to stop the betrayal, to stop the lying to self and to others about Jesus’ teachings and to instead actively become that faithful instrument of God’s grace to the world, which can overcome evil and death in all their manifestation.
An instrument, however, which can only exist if a Christian gives it existence, and says, a “Yes” to the will of God that Jesus said a “Yes” to, and a “No” to any presentation of the will of God that Jesus said a “No” to. Jesus’ teaching in the Gospels of Nonviolent Love of all under all circumstance is not a law to be obeyed but is rather an invitation to choose to become a 24/7/365 agent of mercy by employing his or her existence in Christ to release into the human condition the only power, the power of Christlike love, that can permanently and totally free suffering humanity from the source of its relentless and universal suffering, namely, evil and death. Jesus’ proclamation by word and deed of Nonviolent love of all is therefore a summons to live the will of God that Jesus did and as Jesus did, and to “be merciful as your heavenly Father is merciful.”
