Silent U.S. Catholic priest-military chaplains and mute U.S Catholic Bishops are essential players in the U.S. murder operations taking place against the people of Iran. Where more is morally required, silence is evil. Where more is required by Christlike love, silence is participation in the unlove of murderous violence.
The controlling moral concern here is this: In what situations in life, in what relationships in life, does Christlike love require that we speak up rather than shut up? Whether, the Mass should be in Latin? Whether, someone for whom we have spiritual responsibility should stop murdering people?
