What brought on the murdering of 60,000 Arab children and the maiming of tens of thousands more, as well as, the killing and maiming of millions of adult Arabs in Gaza? The general answer is, “a gravely mistaken understanding of God and His Will.” The particular answer is “Hebrew Scriptures, or what Christians call the Old Testament.” Generation after generation of children being nurtured from infancy to believe as an integral part of their religious consciousness, value system and religion that a Killer God gave them a perpetual Divine Right to a piece of dirt, as well as, the Divine Right to kill, maim, deceive, torture, blackmail, threaten and destroy anyone(s) who rejects that such Divine Rights were ever so bestowed, will in time eventually produce adult generations primed to kill for this Killer God and for the piece of dirt, which He supposedly gave a carte blanche to keep by any means necessary.

Nurture children in such a faith, for which there is not a speck of empirical evidence outside the belief system of their own little group and this will produce generation after generation of fanatic adults who will engage in any and all manner of evil and human atrocities to get or defend what a Killer God presumptively gave them at some time in an extremely remote and inaccessible  past—a past so far removed from present consciousness that there is no possibility to check and to verify whether God gave such Rights, which include the Divine Right to use every means available from deceit to genocide to exercise a supposed Divine Right, which has every indicia of being just a myth created by a land grabbing tribe.

Stories of God or gods giving some tribe or group some special gift, often, but not exclusively, ruling over a piece of geography in perpetuity, are multitudinous in ancient history. All of them appear to be self-serving humanly composed myths, ex post facto fictional creations by conquerors trying to subsequently validate and justify their mass murder operations to possess other peoples’ property and their oppression of people with an aura of holiness; “I am only doing what God wills or commands.” A Christian cannot give credence to these mythical stories nor can a Christian give support for their murderous implementation even if one of the tribes is Israel Why? Because, if Jesus is who the Gospels present Him to be—the Messiah of Judaism and the WORD of God Incarnate—then these stories are erroneous presentations and depictions of the kind of God that God is and what God expects of people, Jews and Gentiles.

Nurture children in Jesus’ revelation regarding the kind of God that God is and what God expects of people, Jews and Gentiles, and there will be no more Gazas, no more Holocaust, no more Hiroshimas or Nagasakis, etc., etc., etc., Continue to nurture children in hellish parochial and tribal violent fantasies and propaganda stories of non-existent Warrior gods and you can bet your bottom dollar, shekel, euro, yen, yuan, pound, rubble, rupee or peso that tomorrow will bring unfathomable, mind-breaking misery to world-wide humanity, with no exception granted this time for class, nationality, ethnicity, race, or religion.

So, don’t bother talking to your local political puppet who is just as powerless to improve matters as all the others in the local claque of political puppets. Talk to your Rabbi, Priest, Bishop, Minister, Pope. Iman, Mullah, Ayatollah, etc, asking him or her to stop teaching as the truth any myths that proclaim the lie of a Killer God. Personally I think, Christianity because of its Founder is in the best position to lead in this ecumenical restoration of the true face, mind, heart, nature and will of God in human awareness. I say this without any evidence that Institutional Christianity has the slightest interest in doing this.
