FORTY THIRD ANNUAL
FAST FOR THE TRUTH OF
GOSPEL NONVIOLENCE
(July 1–August 9)

It is quite possible for a Jew or a Muslim to believe in and follow a Nonviolent God and to love their friends and enemies in imitation of the love of God who is nonviolent love and who loves all always. To do so, however, they would have to part company with explicit teachings about the will of God of Moses or of Mohammed, in the Koran or in the Torah, as well as, part company with what kind of God that God is and what He expects as taught by Mohammed or Moses in the Koran or in the Torah. Likewise, it is quite possible for a Christian to believe in and follow a violence endorsing warrior god. However, to do so he or she would have to part company with the explicit and consistent teachings on nonviolence and love of enemies of the Nonviolent Jesus in the Gospels, and with what kind of God that God is and what that God expects as taught by Jesus in the Gospels.
If a Jew, Muslim or Christian rejects the clear and explicit teaching of Moses, Mohammed or Jesus on these most basic and most far reaching issues, why would they respectively believe that Moses. Mohammed or Jesus knows what he is talking about on any other matters that are related to God and God’s will?
