When the soul is invaded by the lust for the power of violence and indifference to the suffering and death it creates for others called the enemy or collateral damage, then faith gives way to a philosophy that proclaims that evil will liberate you if you agree to become its accomplice. The religious vocabulary is maintained but the words change their content.
