July 16 Day of Prayer Trinity Site
A Day of Prayer for Forgiveness and Protection with Mary, the Mother of Jesus, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
“For this is the message you have heard from the beginning: you should love one another, unlike Cain who belonged to the evil one and slaughtered his brother.”
—1 Jn 3:11-12
When Evil believes it has won a major victory in human history, when Evil is convinced it has crushed significant possibilities for joy, truth, mercy, community and holiness, when Evil recognizes it has successfully planted the seeds of perversion that will assure a full cup of misery for many tomorrows, when it has done these things, then it always tries to top-off its triumph by blatantly mocking the Holy One.
How self-satisfied with their own mocking cleverness must those soldiers who were torturing Jesus have felt when they “crowned” Him with thorns while contemptuously referring to Him as “King of the Jews.” What an experience of sadistic pleasure it must have been for these soldiers to make fun of Jesus by throwing a royal- scarlet cloak over His tortured body and then bowing down before Him, parodying their own cowardly obsequiousness before the masters of this world. One can only imagine the spirit of superiority that motivated the shaming slaps on the Divine face followed by the sneering challenge, “Prophesy! Who struck you?” And, in the end, there was the mockingly haughty taunt on Golgotha, “He saved others but He cannot save Himself.”
Technically, blasphemy is abusive or contemptuous language directed toward God. It is beyond sin. It is sin’s sin. It is the process of justifying evil by being a smart-aleck toward God. By the time persons or societies reach this stage of spiritual malaise, it is certain that they have activated realities on the invisible side of their existence which will do them great harm (judgment) unless there is an authentic return to the Divine—repentance, metanoia, “change of mind.”
To be clear, it is not that the Holy is petty, that God must lash out with fury at insult. It is rather what the contemptuous person or group has become by the time that he, she or they would think of trampling on the Holy. When this point is reached, only prayerful repentance can short-circuit the movement of the electricity of evil let loose in galaxies below the surface of visible existence. If these movements are not interrupted, they will eventually erupt into a person’s or humanity’s conscious life as an utterly unanticipated, precisely directed, catastrophic bolt of lightening, seemingly, but not really out of the blue.
When the Father of the atomic bomb, Dr. Robert Oppenheimer, experienced the blast of the first atomic inferno, the unexpected and unnerving thought that appeared in his mind was a sentence from the Bhagavad Gita, “Now I have become death, the destroyer of worlds”. From where in that moment did such an idea arise? Did it arise merely out of an awareness of the possibility that now politicians and military personnel could initiate a nuclear holocaust? Did this scientific genius, who knew that he knew almost nothing about the vast complexities of sub-molecular reality, sense that perhaps a presently unseen and a presently unknowable dimension of existence had been lethally altered and therefore worlds of life, human and non-human, had been hurled into extreme jeopardy? We will never know for certain from what mysterious chamber in the deep space of his psyche this strange sentence gushed into explicit consciousness. All that is known is that this is the chilling thought that flashed into the consciousness of the Father of the atomic bomb when the first atomic explosion flashed before his eyes and pot-marked the face of the earth on July 16, 1945.
One thousand nine hundred and forty-nine of these unnatural lacerations have disfigured the earth’s face since that historic day in the New Mexico desert when the surface of this planet was made literally as hot as the surface of the sun. Most of these nuclear explosions have been hundreds and thousands of times larger than the original atomic fireball of1945. But, from Washington to Moscow, from London to Paris to Jerusalem to New Delhi to Beijing, it has been the publicly presented operating assumption, that the only significant destruction that occurs with a nuclear explosion is the destruction within the perimeter of what can be presently measured. Evidence contrary to this assumption relentlessly mounts higher with the passage of time but is censored via the various methods the government and the media have of keeping truth out of the consciousness of the general population.
The atomic bomb came to be in the context of a humanity long ensnared in the diabolical spirit of Cain and its monstrous and freakish off-shoot, organized Cainism—war. All sides were employed in World War II in the massive, indiscriminate, religiously justified en masse destruction of human beings. The United States happened to develop The A-Bomb first, but Russia, Germany and Japan were also trying to produce it. There is not a molecule of reasonableness in suggesting, that if one of the other three countries had developed it first, its high command—Tojo, Hitler or Stalin—would have had any more scruples about dropping it than did Harry Truman.
So, the atomic bomb and its consequences, yesterday and today, belong to a bedeviled humanity, not exclusively to a particular nation or segment of humanity. This is a fact of history which is almost always ignored, de-emphasized or minimized every July 16th, August 6th and August 9th. Ignoring it, instead of giving it high priority in human consciousness and dialogue, is a grave and dangerous spiritual and political disservice to a humanity ensnared universally in the hideous spirit of Cainism.
It is this humanity—ceaselessly deceiving itself by telling itself that homicide and the technology of homicide can be of God, ceaselessly telling itself that the hellish spirit of Cain is compatible with the Holy Spirit of God and the Holy Spirit of the Christ— which spoke what is probably the most infamous blasphemy since Good Friday, 33 A.D. You see, the human race entered into the atomic and nuclear mass murder and maiming of human beings by way of a bomb that the best and the brightest code-named Trinity. The masters of this world who masterminded the Atomic Bomb brazenly assigned to the first atomic explosion the name “Trinity,” the name of the Christian God who is a God of Unconditional Love (agape) of all, who “became flesh” in Nonviolent Jesus of the Gospels and whose paramount symbol is the Cross of Nonviolent Suffering Love unto death for all.
The Cross of the Second Person of the Holy Trinity is the symbolic and actual opposite of the sword. The mushroom cloud of the Atomic Bomb, however, is symbolically and actually the sword writ large. How mockingly clever? How delightfully nose-thumbing? How deliciously snide and sneering must this quintessential piece of Orwellian double-speak have been to that spirit responsible for naming the creation of hell on earth after the God of Love, Trinity.
Now I would like to seemingly digress here for a minute—but only seemingly. On July 16, 1251, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel is said to have appeared to St. Simon Stock and given him, as symbol of God’s protection unto eternal life via her intercession with her Son, the symbol of the brown scapular. For centuries thereafter, that appearance of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel was celebrated annually on July 16th in local dioceses throughout the world. In 1726, Pope Benedict XIII formally made July 16th the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel for the Universal Catholic Church—which it remains to this day. As noted above the first atomic bomb, blasphemously code-named Trinity, was detonated on July 16, 1945, the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
My purpose here is not to reflect on the validity of an apparition or apparitions. Provided an apparition contains within it nothing contrary to the Person or message of Jesus in the Gospels then consider it what you will. However, in reflecting on what are known as apparitions the Christian should always keep in mind Isaiah 55:8:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”
Again, always with the proviso that the apparition cannot be communicating something as God’s way that is contrary to the way of Jesus in the Gospels.
My purpose here is two-fold. First, to invite you on July 16th to pray with others, including if you wish with the Mother of Jesus, for forgiveness for the history of chosen evil which the Cainists within humanity and which institutionalized Cainism planned and executed, for the first time but not the last, on July 16,1945. Second, it is also to pray for protection from the poisonous, contagious and bitter future fruits that this new nuclear seeding of the soul and soil of humanity, by Cainists and instituionalized Cainism, has and can further bring forth, if left unimpeded.
July 16th to date is the quintessential evidence of the truth of Jesus’ saying, “Put up your sword, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword” (Mt 26:52). For July 16, 1945 represents and is in fact, the commencement in human existence of a process of human violence and destruction that indiscriminately murders human beings in utterly new ways and in previously unimagined quantities, and not just in the moment of it use but for generations long after its use. I say above, “to date,” because it is clear that the Cainists in governments and private corporations with the assistance of the Cainists on university science faculties have already developed bacteriological, chemical and electromagnetic weapons that can indiscriminately murder people far beyond what the Trinity Site atomic could.
Once the soul and soil are seeded by the production of weapons made for wholesale and blanket murder no one on the planet can protect himself or herself from being infected by their ever mutating manifestations. For example, seeds of nuclear death have already created within humanity a cauldron of physical, spiritual, social, personal and economic pathologies that have diseased humanity in ways never before seen. Every child in the womb, every farm, every lake, every person, every persons loved ones and off-spring for untold generations eventually must wind-up living downwind from July 16th. The Cainist-people in science, government, corporation and the military for whom July 16th is the symbol are daily mutilating the human life—physically, socially, personally, economically, morally and spiritually. It is for this reason on this day that we invite you to pray, adore and petition God, the Trinity of Love for forgiveness for the past evil and for protection in the future for ourselves and our children and grandchildren to the seventh generation from the temporal—and eternal— consequences of the evil that we ourselves, our chronological peers and our ancestors have entered into and brought down upon all humanity.
And perhaps, to pray for this forgiveness and this protection with Mary, the mother of an innocent Victim of the madness of empathically anesthetized Cainists in government, commerce, the sciences, the military and religion. Would not Mary truly desire to pray with those who are praying that others, today and tomorrow, would not have to endure what she had to endure because of the spiritual, moral and psychological pathologies of men and women heatedly lusting to acquire and/or maintain power over other people and their resources?
“This kind can only be cast out by prayer” (Mk 9:29).
