FAST FOOD (2014): First Helping

FAST FOOD (2014): First Helping

“First of all we Christians are people who adore God. We adore God Who is love, Who in Jesus Christ gave Himself for us, Who offered Himself on the Cross to expiate our sins, and through the power of this love, rose from the dead and lives in His Church. We have no God other than Him!”
– Pope Francis, 21 June 2014

This statement by Pope Francis represents the ultimate source and root of Gospel Nonviolence. It is what makes Nonviolent Love of friends and enemies, as taught and lived by Jesus, the will of God. It is what makes Nonviolent Love of friends and enemies the unconquerable temporal and eternal power by which and only by which will humanity be saved. It is the truth of God now and always and forever and ever. It is what bestows absolute spiritual, metaphysical and moral Divine validation on the Nonviolent Jesus and His Way of Nonviolent Love of all. It is that which reduces everything contrary to it to falsehood. It is the spring within the spring from which springs all that I will write in these coming thirty-nine reflections. It is why Jesus’ teaching of Nonviolent Love of friends and enemies is to be adored and revered, not calculatingly bracketed-out, ignored or dismissed by those who accept Him as Lord, God and Savior. Adored and revered, because Jesus and His teaching are one. He is His teaching and His teaching is He. As the Word of God Incarnate, God, Jesus speaks, lives and communicates only the truth and will of God.

We Christians can have no truth or teaching that contradicts, replaces or supersedes His, because “we Christians have no God other than Him!”

About Us

The full embracing of Gospel Nonviolence calls for a radical alteration in thought patterns, verbal patterns, behavioral patterns, and emotional patterns. That is, it requires a completely different reality orientation and self-understanding.
