The Christian conscientious objector would rather give up his faith than make a convenience of it, putting it on and taking it off like a cloak, according to the direction the winds of worldly expedience are blowing at the moment. He foresees that although it is so easy to put Jesus Christ in Khaki, it might be very difficult to take Him out of it, because the willingly misled grow impervious to unpalatable facts.
