August 9 The Censer
August 9, 1945 A.D. is a day that will live in infamy in the history of the Church. On that day at 11:03 a.m., a 1700 year tradition of justified Christian savagery toward Christians fell to its satanic nadir,
when with the prior blessings of its Catholic and Protestant chaplains, a Christian bomber crew released the inferno of an atomic bomb on the original, oldest and largest Christian community in Japan –
Nagasaki – using as one of its target markings the largest church in Japan, the Urakami-Nagasaki Cathedral.
